Notes for AutoCAD Plant 3D:This control can simply convert plain AutoCAD components similar lines, arcs, ... but non all AutoCAD Plant 3D components similar AutoCAD Plant 3D elbows. Don't use DWGUNITS for AutoCAD Plant 3D.

Alternative 2: Use the INSERT command

In this example the components volition be converted from inches to anxiety.

1. Start a new cartoon using the acad.dwt template.
2. Enter theUNITS command.
3. Select "Decimal" forType and "Feet" forInsertion scale. ClickOK.
4. Enter theINSERT command (orCLASSICINSERT in AutoCAD 2020 and newer).

Inches to Millimeters = 25.4
Millimeters to Inches = 0.0393701

Inches to Centimeters = ii.54
Centimeters to Inches = 0.393701

Anxiety to Millimeters = 304.8
Millimeters to Feet = 0.00328084

Anxiety to Centimeters = xxx.48
Centimeters to Feet = 0.0328084

Notes:

• For the Calibration command method, suit the dimension text and arrowhead height in the dimension style equally needed.
• Layout viewports may need to be moved or resized, or the plot calibration updated, when an alternate unit folio size is selected subsequently conversion. For example, when an imperial paper size is selected in a cartoon that has been converted to metric.
